Lauri is Senior Disability and Development Specialist in the Social, Urban, Rural, and Resilience Global Practice at the World Bank and works on disability-inclusion and mainstreaming in the Bank’s activities. He has two decades of experience in human rights and non-discrimination from the Council of Europe where he worked as head of division, thematic coordinator and advisor in the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights.
Lauri holds advanced university degrees in international law, social anthropology and political history from the University of Helsinki and the School of Oriental and African Studies (London).
