Lisa Schmidt is a Social Development Specialist in the Africa Region of the World Bank. Based in Nairobi, she works on projects, analytics, and technical assistance related to issues of social inclusion and community-driven development in Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda, with an emphasis on forced displacement, gender-based violence, and territorial development solutions for marginalized areas.
Prior to joining the Africa Region, she worked on Poverty and Social Impact Analysis (PSIA) and co-authored and contributed to various analytical pieces on social inclusion at country and sector levels, with a focus on the South Asia Region, including Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and India.
