Lolita Laperle-Forget joined the Women, Business and Law team in January 2022. She specializes in legal issues relating to women’s participation in trade, and gender-related commitments in free trade agreements. She has held positions at the World Trade Organization and the South Africa-based think tank tralac, receiving recognition for writing several research papers and creating a comprehensive database on gender provisions in trade agreements. Lolita served as vice-chair of the WTO Gender Research Hub from 2021 to 2022, was a member of the steering committee for the 2022 World Trade Congress on Gender, and is a tralac associate. Originally from Canada, she holds a master's degree in international law (LL.M.) and a bachelor of laws (LL.B.) from the University of Sherbrooke.
