A Zambian national, Lombe is a Senior Health Specialist with over 15 years’ experience in the global health and development arena. She began her career with Gavi – the vaccine alliance, followed by UNICEF Supply Division, before joining the Bank in 2007. She has since worked on analytic products, operational projects, and policy dialogue covering HIV and AIDS; pandemic preparedness and response; reproductive, maternal, and child health; and pharmaceutical policy in Africa and South Asia. In her current role, she leads several health sector operations in the Republic of Congo, including the COVID-19 Emergency Response project. Lombe holds a master’s degree in Industrial Drug Development from the University of Copenhagen and has published papers on strengthening medicines regulatory systems and supply chains.
