Lorena is a transport consultant for the World Bank's Latin America and Caribbean Infrastructure and Transport Unit. During the last year she has collaborated in urban transport projects (BRT and cable car) in Peru and Brazil. She has also participated in the review of TOD projects for Quito and Queimados, Rio de Janeiro, and has collaborated in the design of strategies for the inclusion of the gender perspective in transport projects for Latin America. For two years (2014-2016) Lorena participated in the management, design and construction process of line 3 of the Riyadh metro in Saudi Arabia with the Spanish engineering company IDOM, based in Bilbao. Lorena is an Architect from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM). In 2017, she completed the ICEX-CECO MBA at the Menéndez Pelayo International University. Recently, she has started her part-time PhD with the Sustainability, Transport and Urban Regeneration Unit of the UPM.
