Lorenzo Bertolini is a senior private sector specialist in the World Bank’s Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation Global Practice, focusing on the design and implementation of lending and advisory programs in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and the Sub‑Saharan Africa (SSA) regions. Earlier he was Regional Program Leader for the Public-Private Infrastructure Advisory Facility (PPIAF) – a multi-donor technical assistance facility administered by the World Bank, and advised on the development of best practice institutional and regulatory frameworks for private sector participation in infrastructure. He is a graduate of the University of Bologna and Johns Hopkins University.
