Lorenzo Menna is an economist at the Macrofinancial Risk Analysis Directorate at Banco de Mexico, an area focused on preparation of analytical material for the Monetary Policy Committee Meetings and for the Financial Stability Report of the central bank. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Catholic University of Milan and University of Milan-Bicocca. He has published research papers in various areas, including macrofinance, asset pricing, optimal monetary and fiscal policies, equity and term premia in business cycle models, the impact of capital flows on economic activity and monetary policy formulation in emerging markets, and the labor market effects of financial crises.
