Louis de Koker

Chair in Law at the School of Law of Deakin University

Louis de Koker holds a chair in law at the School of Law of Deakin University. In addition to his position at the Deakin Law School, he is the Program Lead: Law and Policy of the Data to Decisions Cooperative Research Centre. He is also a Professor Extraordinarius in Mercantile Law at the University of the Free State and a Visiting Professor at the University of Johannesburg. His research in the past few years has focused on managing the relationship between data financial inclusion and anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing objectives, especially in relation to customer data.
