Lucas Gortazar is a Consultant at the Education Global Practice. Since 2012, he has worked on both analytical and operational activities related to education, skills and the labor market, and health financing in a variety of ECA and MENA countries. He has published in different areas such as education financing, education assessments, teacher policy, school segregation, and skills measurement in the labor market. Outside the World Bank, he has worked with Spanish regional governments and local NGOs in various projects related to education reform and policy analysis, and he is a regular contributor to mass media in education policy debates in Spain. He holds a PhD in Economics from the Basque Country University, a MS in Economics from CEMFI in Madrid and a BS in Mathematics from the Basque Country University.
