Luciana De la Flor Giuffra

Economist in the Gender Group at the World Bank

Luciana de la Flor Giuffra is an Economist in the Gender Group at the World Bank. She supports the ongoing development of gender dimensions in key areas related to poverty, growth, and public finance, and serves as regional liaison for the Middle East and North Africa region. Previously, Luciana worked as a Poverty Economist in the Latin American and the Caribbean Poverty team, focusing on poverty monitoring in Peru, Bolivia and Belize, and co-authoring the Peru Poverty Assessment. She also has worked in the Social Protection’s Jobs Group and the Education’s Front Office.

Before joining the World Bank Group, Luciana worked as an Economist at the Private Council for Competitiveness in Peru, where she was a founding member. She also worked as a research assistant at the Group for the Analysis of Development (GRADE) in Peru. Luciana holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration in International Development from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico.
