Lucilla Maria Bruni is an Economist in the World Bank’s Social Protection and Labor Global Practice. Lucilla currently focuses on Southern Africa, where she leads a portfolio of operational and analytical activities related to social assistance, demographics and labor markets. In her previous assignments at the World Bank, Lucilla worked on various social protection projects East Asia and the Pacific, and was on a field assignment in Cambodia. Prior to joining the World Bank, Lucilla did research on poverty, inequality and social policies in Guatemala, and worked in economic consulting in London. Lucilla is an Italian national and holds an MPA in International Development (MPA/ID) from Harvard University, and an M.Sc. and B.Sc. from the London School of Economics.
