Luigi Butron Calderon, is a Macroeconomics Consultant at the World Bank’s Macroeconomics, Trade and Investment Global Practice, for the Latin America and Caribbean Region. He contributes with frequent reports and briefs which present major macroeconomics, financial and policy developments in the global economy and the Latin America and Caribbean region. Prior to joining the World Bank, he was Senior Economist at Macroeconomic Policy Directorate of the Ministry of Finance of Peru, where he contributed with economic policy design, structural reforms, and macroeconomic modelling. His areas of expertise are macroeconomics, international finance, fiscal policy and finance. He holds a MPA in Economic Policy Management at Columbia University in New York City and a MSc in Economics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
