Benard Mitto joined the Bank in May 2019 as a consultant. He has been providing operational support to projects in Kenya, Somalia and other countries in the Horn of Africa. He has leveraged his decade-long experience in Digital Monitoring and Evaluation, Geographic Information Science (GIS), and Data Analysis to enhance project supervision, visibility, and accountability. Prior to joining the Bank, he supported USAID-funded health projects under different capacities on GIS health analytics, digital system development, capacity-building, and disease surveillance. He holds a postgraduate degree in Geographic Information Science from University of Canterbury (distinction), BSc. in Geospatial Engineering (University of Nairobi) and Business Information Technology (Strathmore University).
