Madhavi Pillai is a Senior Natural Resources Management Specialist at the World Bank. She works on operations and analytics covering forests, watersheds and landscapes management, agroforestry, biodiversity and protected areas. Her work focuses on governance and policy, climate change, jobs and community-led management. She has worked in multiple regions in the World Bank for over two decades and prior to that with Development Alternatives in New Delhi. She has a Masters in Botany from the University of Delhi and an M.Phil from the Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal, India.
