Madiha Waris Qureshi

Madiha Waris Qureshi is a communications consultant for the Education, Eastern and Southern Africa team for the World Bank. She has a decade of experience writing, editing, and conducting public relations for the development sector. She began her career with The Citizens Foundation, Pakistan, one of Pakistan's leading non-profits in education, where she managed communications for the organizations' network of schools for neglected rural and urban communities. She was most recently a senior production and media engagement associate for the Rights and Resources Initiative, which promotes forest and land rights for indigenous peoples and local rural communities across the developing world. Madiha serves as a prose editor for Papercuts, a literary magazine that gives voice to writers of South Asian origin, and a graduate student of Interactive Journalism at the American University. She obtained an MBA in marketing from Pakistan's Institute of Business Administration, Karachi in 2005.
