Prime Minister of Niger

Mahamadou Ouhoumoudou was named Prime Minister of Niger on April 6, 2021, under the Bazoum Administration. He previously served as Chief of Staff of former President Issoufou Mahamadou, from 2015 to 2020, and as Minister of Finance during the first Issoufou administration, from 2011 to 2012. He also has held senior positions including Minister in charge of Mines, Deputy Executive Secretary in charge of Administration and Finance at ECOWAS. He is among the founding members of the ruling Nigerien Party for Democracy and Socialism (PNDS-Tarayya). He holds a Master’s degree in Economics, and a graduate diploma in Business Administration and Management.
