With over 30 years of professional experience, Mahaman Sani Kanta is a seasoned economist and expert in public finance management, governance project oversight, and economic reform implementation in Niger. He has held pivotal roles in various government and development institutions, including the Ministry of Planning, Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Permanent Secretariat of the Poverty Reduction Strategy, and the Millennium Challenge Account Niger. He currently coordinates the Public Sector Management Program for Resilience and Service Delivery (PGRP), Niger's first experience with a Performance-for-Results (PforR) financing model. Throughout his career, he has significantly contributed to governance reforms aimed at improving public management and fiscal accountability in Niger. His expertise and leadership have been instrumental in advancing sustainable development and resilience within the public sector.
