Mahamane Mourtala Sani is a Social Protection Specialist at the World Bank working on adaptive social protection, disaster risk financing and youth employment. His work focuses on the intersection of scalable safety nets and its various components. He supports operations in the National Social Protection system in Niger including policy reviews and Unique Social Registry establishment. Before joining the World Bank, he worked for development projects and programs, including UN humanitarian agencies (WFP) and development cooperation projects (JICA, IFAD). He holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology and a master’s degree in Rural Economics from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) and Université Abdou Moumouni, respectively.
