Mahmoud Elsayed is an Economist in the World Bank’s Education Global Practice. His work includes supporting education projects in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Yemen, Egypt, and elsewhere on issues related to student assessment, learning poverty, research and data analytics, and education finance. Mahmoud’s research has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals such as Economics of Education Review, Education Finance and Policy, and Health Economics. Mahmoud holds a Masters in Public Finance Policy and a Ph.D. in Public Policy from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University.
