Mainul Huq is an economist and consultant on numerous World Bank–financed research projects, most of which focus on environmental issues, particularly climate change and cost-effective adaptation policies, health impact of pollution problems, and monetization of damage caused by environmental degradation. He has also worked on projects financed by the Asian Development Bank and World Health Organization. His additional research interests include the economic impact of large-scale infrastructure projects and urban and municipal issues. He has published numerous articles in international journals on issues related to environment, health, environmental damage, and pollution-control policy. He holds a masters degree from Vanderbilt University, Tennessee.
