Mamata Ghimire is a Health Economist with the World Bank’s Health, Nutrition, and Population Global Practice. With over a decade of experience, she has led and supported health sector reforms across low- and middle-income country contexts, with a particular focus on financial protection in health, service delivery, health and nutrition financing, and policy-relevant research. Currently, she co-leads the World Bank’s health operations in Nepal and contributes to strategic engagements in Bhutan. Mamata has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and co-authored several World Bank reports and discussion papers. She holds a Master’s degree and a PhD in Health Economics from Durham University (UK) and the University of Tsukuba (Japan), respectively.
