Mampionona Amboarasoa, a Malagasy national, works with the World Bank’s Global Food and Agriculture Practice, as a Senior Agriculture Economist, covering Madagascar, Comoros, and Burundi. His work and interests span sustainable agribusiness development, agriculture food systems, livelihood and climate resilience, and agriculture policy. Before joining the World Bank in 2016, he worked in several World Bank and USAID financed projects supporting agribusiness, food security, and water sanitation in Madagascar. Mampionona has an engineering degree in agronomy from the University of Antananarivo, Madagascar and a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness from the University of Arkansas, USA.
