Manjola is a Senior Procurement Specialist based in Washington, DC and currently working in Latin America and Caribbean Region. Manjola is the Gender Focal Point for Procurement Unit of LAC and co-chair of Community of Practice “Sustainable Procurement for Development”. She led the work for drafting the first Practice Note on Gender Consideration in Public Procurement for Latin America and Caribbean Region. She is currently working on different countries in the region for promoting gender consideration in public procurement.
Manjola joined the World Bank in 2015 after a broad governmental experience in Albania holding several public-private partnership (PPP) and Procurement Expert positions. In 2008, she has established the first Albanian Public Private Partnership PPP unit on Transport and Infrastructure which she headed until 2014. She has a Law Degree from Tirana University and a master’s degree from Institute of European Studies on European Union Law. Manjola is a certified as a PPP professional through the APMG Public-Private Partnerships Certification Program (C3P3-F).
