Manuel Ramos-Maqueda is a Governance Specialist at the World Bank’s Institutions Department, where he leverages data science and technology to make public institutions more accessible, effective, and accountable. He leads research and knowledge initiatives on justice reform, public innovation, and institutional design, while also providing operational support to government counterparts. Manuel has experience across countries in East Africa, Europe and Central Asia, and Latin America. Previously, he worked at the World Bank’s Development Impact Department (DIME), the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA). He holds a double degree in Law and Economics, a master’s in International Policy from Stanford University, and is pursuing a PhD at the University of Oxford.
