Marc Navelet is a Senior Transport Specialist, based in the World Bank Tunisia Country Office. After holding several positions as senior road and transport infrastructure specialist (inside and outside of The World Bank Group), working on projects and programs mainly requiring engineering, contracting, project management, and institutional support expertise, he has pursued his professional development in leading and contributing to the development and the implementation of transformational transport sector operations that include substantial sector policy dialogue, along with consequent technical advice to ensure sustainable connectivity and mobility (lagging regions to capital cities, rural network to tar network, multi-modal transport with efficient nodes). As such, he has been working on complex development corridors & regional integration projects dealing with transport, logistics, as well trade and competitiveness. Finally, Marc also has an extensive field experience in developing countries and has also been extensively working in FCV environments (CAR, Haiti, Chad, Northern Cameroon, Kosovo, Libya). He is therefore familiar with challenges and risks to operate in such environments.
