Marcela Gutierrez is an Education Specialist at the World Bank Group’s Education Global Practice. She has ten years of experience designing, implementing and evaluating human development programs and large-scale research projects in Africa, Latin America, Asia, the Middle East and the Western Balkans. Prior to her current role, she worked as a project coordinator of the STEP Skills Measurement Program, a Senior Advisor to the Ministry of Social Protection and Inclusion in Peru, a Research Manager at Innovations for Poverty Action and a consultant to the Interamerican Development Bank, UNWRA and UNDP. She holds a M.A. in Public Administration/International Development from Harvard University, a MA and BA in Economics from Universidad de los Andes (Colombia) and a BA in Business Administration.
