Is a Natural Resources Specialist at the Environment, Natural Resources and Blue Economy Global Practice, where she works on biodiversity conservation, sustainable land use, climate smart agriculture, and forests and climate change financing instruments. Before joining the Bank, she was part of the Alexander von Humboldt Institute, the Colombian Biodiversity Research Institute, working on land use planning and conservation strategies. Marcela holds a PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Hull, UK, and a BSc in Biology from the National University of Colombia.
