Marcelle Ayo is the IFC Country Manager for Madagascar as well as Comoros, Mauritius and Seychelles. She is based in Antananarivo, Madagascar. Her main role consists of leading an integrated investment and advisory strategy and action plan for IFC’s activities with a focus on creating markets by developing high-impact projects that contribute to the development of the cluster of countries that she oversees.
Marcelle has 21 years of international banking and finance experience. Prior to joining IFC, she has worked at Citi Libreville, Citi London and BMCE Bank London, where she has successfully managed top private and public sector client relationships from various industries and launched new business lines in Corporate Banking and in Microfinance.
She joined IFC in 2012; she has served in various positions and more recently as the Adviser to the IFC Vice President and Treasurer. During her tenure as Adviser, she played a key role in shaping the Vice Presidency Unit’s strategic engagement in client countries, with a focus on Africa.
Marcelle holds a master’s in Computer Science Applied to Management from Paris Dauphine University, an MBA from ESSEC-Paris and a master’s in Finance from the London Business School.
