Mr. Marcio Jose is the CEO of Aquapolo Ambiental S.A., the largest water recycling facility in Latin America, where he leads its team towards achieving excellence in operational efficiency and sustainability by innovating and working on disruptive solutions.
Mr. Jose is a member of the Water Positive Think Tank and works on educating other leaders on the next step in circular economy – regeneration. Marcio also represents ALADYR – Latin America Desalination and Reuse Association in Brazil, working to influence and promote desalination and reuse solutions and legislation, and is a co-leader on the Water Chamber in the Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development, working with companies responsible for 48% of Brazilian gross domestic product.
Marcio has a large experience in several sectors like capital goods, petrochemical, defense and utilities, having worked in Brazil and USA for companies like ABB, Braskem and Mectron before Aquapolo.
He is graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management from Universidade Anhembi Morumbi and an Executive MBA from Saint Paul Business School and New York Institute of Finance. He is a chartered professional with the Brazilian Business Administration Federal Council.
