Marguerite Duponchel was on a secondment with the Agriculture and Rural Development team of the Development Research Group of the World Bank for 2 years. Previously, she was the Country Economist for the International Growth Centre in Uganda. She also worked for the University of Witswatersrand in South Africa, for UNDP and UNHCR. She holds a PhD in economics from the University of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne. Her research interests include land, social safety nets and civil conflict.
