María Alejandra is an Urban Development consultant at the World Bank. She is a lawyer from the University of Rosario and has a Postgraduate Specialization Degree in State, Public Policy and Development from the University of Los Andes in Colombia. She has 4 years of work experience in the fields of urban development, climate change, and public law. She is the Co-founder and Executive Director of CLIMALAB NGO and is certificated by the United Nations as a trainer of the SDG Sustainable Development Goals. She is the winner of the National Young Talent Award for Bogotá, awarded by the Office of the First Lady of Colombia and the Presidential Counseling for Youth -Colombia Joven- in 2019. She is also an ambassador of two international platforms: One Young World and The Youth Assembly.
