Maria Correia is Sector Manager, Social Development in the South Asia Region. Since joining the Bank in 1994, she has held different positions on gender and social development in the Bank, including managing the Bank's Gender Unit in the Latin America and Caribbean Region, and leading the Multi-country Demobilization and Reintegration Program in Central Africa.
