Maria Eugenia Davalos is a Senior Economist in the Poverty and Equity Global Practice, focused on Latin American and the Caribbean and previously on Europe and Central Asia. She joined the World Bank in 2010 through the Young Professionals Program. She leads the poverty and equity programs for Bolivia and Colombia. She has worked on various issues throughout her career at the World Bank, including economic mobility, the labor market, gender, migration, and determinants of poverty and inequality. Maria Eugenia holds a master's degree in Economic Policy Management from the Center for the Study and Research on International Development (France), and was awarded a Fulbright scholarship for her doctorate in economics at Fordham University (New York).
