Maria Hernandez-de-Benito is an Assistant Professor at the University of Alicante and is the coordinator of the Measures for Advancing Gender Equality (MAGNET) initiative. Her research has focuses on intra-household dynamics, effects of crime, women's property rights, youth employment, the analysis of development project impacts, and improving the measurement of gender outcomes. She has extensive experience in economics consulting and holds a PhD in Economics from Georgetown University.
