María Inés Badin is an economist with a master’s degree in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University. She joined the World Bank in 2020 as a consultant for Latin America and the Caribbean (Mexico and Peru) and Europe and Central Asia (Moldova and Cyprus). She has research and technical experience in projects aimed at improving government fiscal efficiency in countries, particularly in public spending, and in a better use of public data for decision making. She is starting a PhD program in Economics at the University of California, Davis this Fall.
