María José Ramírez is international consultant with a focus on monitoring and supporting learning for all. She has worked on projects related to curriculum and instruction, measurement of learning and socio-emotional skills, quality assurance and accreditation, among others. She has 20 years of experience working independently and, previously, as a staff for the World Bank, Universidad Diego Portales and the Ministry of Education in Chile, and the TIMSS & PIRLS International Study Center in the USA. She has experience working in Angola, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Djibouti, Haiti, Kuwait, Mozambique, Paraguay and the United States. She has done consultancy work for the World Bank, UNESCO, the Organization of Ibero-American States, among others. She holds a Bachelor’s (1997) and Master (1998) in Psychology from Universidad Católica de Chile, and a Doctorate in Education and Psychometrics (2004) from Boston College, USA.
