Maria Liungman is a Senior Economist at the World Bank Group’s Macroeconomics, Trade and Investment Global Practice. Her area of expertise lies within trade policy, trade facilitation and gender equality. Maria has over 15 years of experience of trade, private sector development, development cooperation and gender analysis. She has previously been working for the Swedish International Development Agency, Sida, with development cooperation and private sector development, In Nairobi with trade and regional integration and at the Swedish National Board of Trade with trade policy issues. She holds an MSc in International Economics from Lund University in Sweden.
