Soledad Requejo is an operations officer at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group. Sol leads IFC’s advisory work in the cocoa sector in Latin America and is also part of the team delivering advisory and upstream work across other agribusiness sectors. She is passionate about working with clients on innovative projects that bring financial, social and economic sustainability. Since joining IFC in 2004, she has become highly experienced in the design and implementation of advisory projects in the manufacturing and agribusiness sectors.
Sol also works for the Better Work program, a partnership between the IFC and the United Nation’s International Labour Organization (ILO), which seeks to improve working conditions and competitiveness in the garment sector
She graduated as an economist from the University of Maryland and holds an MBA from the Johns Hopkins University.
