Mariano Ruiz is a external consultant for the World Bank SOGI on LGBTIQ development and inclusion research. He has extensive experience in the management and design of international cooperation projects and public policies with impact on vulnerable populations, specially focused in LGBTIQ+ people and LGBTIQ+ Asylum Seekers and Refugees. Through his advocacy work he had been awarded several scholarships and participated in multiple international gathering with organizations such as RFSL, Salzburg Global Seminar, HRC, Outright Action International and Equitas.
Mariano is an alumni of the Human Rights Advocates Program from the Institute for the Study of Human Rights at Columbia University in New York.
