Marie-Paule Ngaleu has been working in the World Bank for more than 15 years with extensive experience in World Bank operations, research, analytical programs, and knowledge sharing. As a Gender Expert, she has been leading the preparation and implementation of projects in Africa, ensuring the advancement of sustainable job opportunities for women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and women empowerment programs. Marie-Paule has been actively engaged in increasing the adoption of gender-sensitive approaches and improved monitoring across energy projects in Africa. Before joining the World Bank, Marie-Paule worked for the United States Department of Commerce as a Commercial Specialist stationed at the United States Embassy in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire. She holds a Master’s degree in Project Management from the Pan African Institute for Development, West Africa and a Master’s degree in Biblioteconomy from Institut Superieur de Technologie de Cote d'Ivoire. She also holds a graduate certificate in Social Impact Partnership Design from Georgetown University and a graduate certificate in Social Norms, Social Change from University of Pennsylvania.
