Marie Hyland joined the Women, Business and the Law team as an economist in October 2019. Her research focuses on the impacts of legal reform on women’s economic opportunities and outcomes. Marie joined the World Bank in 2016, and previously worked with the Enterprise Analysis team at DECIG. Marie holds a PhD in economics from Trinity College Dublin. During her PhD studies, Marie was awarded a Fulbright scholarship and attended the University of Maryland as a visiting scholar.
