Mario Negre is a senior economist with the World Bank’s Poverty and Equity Global Practice. He has worked in the Bank’s Development Research Group, the German Development Institute and the European Parliament. His fields of specialization are pro-poor growth, inclusiveness, inequality and poverty measurement, as well as development cooperation policy, particularly European. Mario holds a BSc in physics from the University of Barcelona, an MA in development policies from the University of Bremen, and a PhD in development economics from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, India.
