Mark Albertson is a consultant in the Finance, Competitiveness, and Innovation Global Practice at the World Bank Group. His current research focuses on spillovers of foreign direct investment (FDI) in developing countries and impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on multinational corporations and policymakers.
He has held previous appointments at the International Monetary Fund (Fiscal Affairs) and the U.S. Congressional Budget Office (Macroeconomic Analysis). He is currently pursuing a doctorate in economics from the George Washington University and holds a master’s degree from the same institution as well as a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University.
