Martha Martinez Licetti is World Bank Group Practice Manager for the Finance, Competitiveness and Investment Global Practice in Europe and Central Asia. She leads programs that support financial sector development, private sector growth, and job creation by promoting stable, resilient, and competitive markets.
Previously, she served as Practice Manager of the Global Markets, Competition, and Technology Unit, where she delivered integrated advisory, analytical, and lending solutions across competition policy, state-owned enterprises, innovation and technology, and sustainable sector reforms in agribusiness, manufacturing, tourism, and services.
She established and led the World Bank Group’s global competition policy practice, developing flagship knowledge tools and forging strategic partnerships with the OECD, UNCTAD, and the International Competition Network.
With over 20 years of experience across both the public and private sectors, she has supported economy-wide and sectoral reforms in more than 60 countries.
