Martin is a former Lead Water and Sanitation Specialist from the World Bank’s Water Global Practice, where he led the Bank’s global Citywide Inclusive Sanitation initiative. Over his more than two decades at the World Bank, he designed and implemented investment projects in water, sanitation, and urban development across Africa, Latin America, Asia, and Eastern Europe. He graduated from the University of Leeds in the UK with a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and earned his PhD at Leeds on the treatment of tropical wastewater for safe effluent reuse in irrigation.
