Director General of CIMMYT since 2015 and with a PhD cum laude in agriculture and environmental sciences from Wageningen University, Kropff has served as a systems agronomist at the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and professor and Rector of Wageningen University. He has been a member of the CGIAR Consortium Board since 2013.
