Martin Lutalo is a Senior Knowledge Management (KM) Specialist in the World Bank’s Health, Nutrition, and Population Global Practice (HNP GP). He is a co-Task Team Leader of the Joint Learning Network for Universal Health Coverage, an innovative global learning network connecting practitioners, policymakers, and technical experts from 36 member countries to develop practical and timely solutions to UHC implementation challenges. Until recently, Martin was the KM lead for the HNP GP, leading the development and implementation of the GP’s knowledge and learning strategic directions and work plans. Earlier, Martin worked with the Bank’s South Africa Health Knowledge Hub, which sought to address tuberculosis in the mining sector in Southern Africa, as well as with the Bank’s Global HIV/AIDS Program where he played a key role in the partnership with UNAIDS and its UN family of co-sponsoring organizations. Before joining the HNP GP, Martin worked with the International Finance Corporation (IFC)’s IFC Against AIDS program, which helped the Corporation’s clients to put in place HIV/AIDS workplace and community programs. Martin holds a Master of Public Health degree in International Health and a Bachelor of Mass Communications degree.
