Masakazu is based in the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR), Tokyo Disaster Risk Management (DRM) Hub to work for mainstreaming DRM and connecting Japanese and global expertise into client countries. Masakazu is a Professional Engineer, Japan with more than 10 years working on technical assistance in the areas of specialization including disaster risk management, water resource management and infrastructure in Japan and low and middle income countries. Masakazu holds a master’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from the Tohoku University.
