Massimo Sichinga is a consultant with the World Bank's Social Protection and Jobs Global Practice, based in the Lilongwe, Malawi Country Office. He is passionate about uplifting poor people from poverty. He works on economic inclusion, scalable safety nets and building delivery systems for social safety nets. Prior to joining the Bank, He has worked as an economist in the Ministry of Economic Planning and Development in Malawi, where he was involved in public policy formulation, monitoring and evaluation. He has formulated government policies, programmes and strategies related to social protection, gender and livelihoods. He holds a Bsc in Agricultural Economics from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resource, Malawi; MA in Economic Policy and Management from Makerere University, Uganda and Msc in Development Evaluation and Management from University of Antwerp, Belgium.
