Matei Dohotaru is a senior financial sector specialist with the Finance, Competitiveness, and Innovation Global Practice at the World Bank Group. Previously, Matei worked for 11 years as banking supervisor at the National Bank of Moldova. His main duties include leading efforts with international donor organizations to implement reforms, such as CRD-IV (Basel III), IFRS and other international standards; participating in financial stability planning and activities for the banking industry; developing systems for economic stress testing and modelling; implementing SupTech tools; and identifying risks in banks and the banking sector through on- and off-site examination.
